What is language impairment?
(Also see what is language?)Research has shown that approximately 7% of children have a language impairment and 10% have a reading or writing impairment, but are otherwise appear normally developing. However many other children have a non-specific language impairment due to poor hearing, autism, downs syndrome, or more general learning problems. Language impairments are often associated with various different developmental disorders.
